Tony Award Nominee Alan Campbell plays Jack Lawson in Hot Summer Nights at Theatre Raleigh's production of RACE, directed by his wife, Broadway actress Lauren Kennedy.
This is the first time Kennedy has directed her husband in a production.

Lauren Kennedy recently starred as controversial political figure Eva Peron in the North Carolina Theatre's production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Evita. She has been seen on Broadway in Sunset Boulevard, Spamalot and Side Show, previously played the role at Casa Mañana in Ft. Worth, TX. Campbell's theater credits include Contact and Sunset Boulevard.

Race is from the writer of Oleanna and Glengarry Glen Ross. When a wealthy white man is charged with a crime against a black woman, a multi-racial law firm is offered the chance to defend him. Perception is everything in this smart, biting and funny expose on modern racial relations.
