The July 2 & 3 outdoor performances of the hit musical RENT have been canceled and will now take place indoors at Fletcher Hall. The move will keep those two days consistent with the rest of the run. According to Jim Lavery, Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts General Manager, it became clear the costs associated with two completely different load-ins did not make sense. "Production at the downtown amphitheatre is still new for all of us and both venues have very different requirements to pull off the production to the expectations of our patrons. After further evaluation we decided it was in the best interest of this particular production to move the entire run inside." In addition a July 1 performance has been added. For patrons holding tickets to the July 2 & 3 performances previously scheduled for outdoors exchanges or refunds can be made at the box office.

RENT, presented by Broadway Under The Stars and City Stage of Wilmington will take place in Fletcher Hall, located in the Progress Energy Center for the Performing Arts, July 1-3, 8 - 10 and 15 - 17. The Broadway show received national acclaim and was awarded the Pulitzer Prize as well as multiple TONY® awards.

Tickets are $25 & $35 and are on sale by calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000, ticketmaster.com or visiting the Box Office, Monday - Friday, 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
